Ben Bius Gives Steve Ogden a Political Noogie

I can’t settle on one playground taunt that describes Steve Ogden’s latest political commercial.

Let’s see….

…crybaby!
…momma’s boy!
…fight your own battles!
…take your ball and go home…

Mr. Ogden has called on his wife to make the last ditch pitch on how hurtful Ben Bius’ commercials have been to poor Stevie.

Sad.

You’ll forgive me if this post is rife with cliché’s, but it seems Steve Ogden can’t fight his own battles.

Maybe since he can’t stand the heat, he should get out of the kitchen?

Let’s consider my media demographic. I am Male, 35+, father, husband, business owner.

This seems to be the demographic Mr. Ogden is advertising to, since I keep hearing and seeing this commercial.

Any guys out there interested in hearing another man’s wife stand up for him, whining about how the opponent has said false things that make her angry?

Anyone?

I do enjoy the fact that Mr. Ogden has had to go on the defensive, as he did with a previous ad about Ben Bius’ claims that Ogden is anti-Second Amendment. The incumbent should have to defend themselves, and if they can respond effectively, then they win… The second Amendment response was pretty effective, for instance.

But how CLUELESS can you be in campaigning when, in the first response ad I heard from Ogden, he actually mentioned Ben Bius’ name…twice?

Hello McFly! NEVER mention your competition!

I thought somebody got to him, since the next commercial says, “My opponent…” but now we have Mrs. Ogden coming out saying “Ben Bius” in her commercial, too.

What’s the first thing when you hear a claim with someone else’s name attached? You go and Google that name, to find that person and see if the claims are true. Then you happen to get on their web site where, such as Ben Bius’, there’s a LOT of information on his stance on things and then you notice that Ogden’s site has virtually NOTHING related to issues and positions.

But then again, the web is new to the Ogden campaign. The last time he faced any serious competition was before the web was a player in the 90s.

Perhaps that’s enough reason to vote against him, if not for Ben Bius.

However, Ben Bius will be a good choice for another reason…at least he’s gonna fight from the floor of the statehouse instead of calling in his wife when things get sticky.
