#TX17 Conservative Candidate Rob Curnock Interview 10 March 2010

Rob Curnock

In the interest of equal time in the media, I offered all candidates in the Texas 17 Congressional Race the opportunity to meet with me and do an interview prior to the Primary. In that interview, I asked if the candidate would visit with me once a week to have an interview, recorded either over the phone or in person, since Chet Edwards gets at least one free campaign stop on WTAW each week.

While Chet is interviewed as the sitting Congressman, the running joke in this town is how the interviewer, Scott Delucia, plays softball with Chet, and Chet gets to croon about how great he is.

The candidates remaining in the race, Conservative Rob Curnock agreed to the request, and Hillary Clinton supporter Bill Flores refused the initial interview. This is not a separate opportunity, but an extension of the first.

So, as Curnock’s schedule permits, we will deliver these weekly interviews, which cover the same topics Chet covered with WTAW. I will link to Chet’s interview and provide Rob’s, so you can compare them side by side.

This idea came about last summer while at breakfast with some good friends, conservatives all. So, I have Dale, Michael, Bob, and Chuck to thank for the idea and, if they allow, I will link their names above to their facebook profiles. They are good people.

Try not to laugh too loud at Edwards’ interviews for their lack of any real questioning. And Rob’s first interview is twice as long as Chet’s because I was not able to get the logistics worked out on my end to be able to interview Rob last Wednesday, the day after the Primary. Hopefully I will be able to get the interview done and published within 24 hours of Chet’s. On weeks that Chet does not interview with WTAW, we’ll still have an interview with Rob as his schedule allows, since Chet has had more free press to campaign in than any candidate has.

Bill Flores is not Hillary Clinton supporter. I have known him over 30 years. He has always been conservative, honest and a hard worker. He donates a lot of his money to help others (college scholarships). You lose your credibility when you do not print the truth.

    • HI, Patty.

Thanks for your comment. I don’t know how much more truthful I can be when just stating the facts.

Bill Flores voted for Hillary Clinton. That means he supported her.

More facts coming that you probably won’t like. I can’t do anything about that.

      Cheers!

Quit whining about Bill Flores! I once enjoyed reading your blogs, but since you’ve gotten obsessed with Flores, I don’t stop by much anymore. You sound like a two year old who didn’t get his way–move on!

    • Thanks, Leighs.

I’m not sure how asking questions and stating facts can be considered whining. If that’s the case, there is more whining to come. Feel free to come back after the primary, or just visit the othe topics on the blog. There will be a lot about Chet Edwards in the ensuing months, if nobody else shares the truth about him.

I hope you’ll come back then, though I sure would have been glad to converse with you prior to this small exchange. I’m always open to discussion.

      Cheers!

Where is Rob’s weekly radio spot? Was looking forward to more rambling!

    • Sorry. I’ve been busy and though Rob’s been visiting with a lot of people here in town and very available to me, I haven’t been able to get away to visit with him.

I learned that response from Bill Flores.

What does Rob represent? He seems to only speak in tiny anecdotes. You’re conservative. You’re vetted. I get it. Enough with the talking points.

    What do you believe?
