Write-ins will recall that back in February I met with Bill Flores’ Rookie Campaign Manager Matt Mackowiak under dubious circumstances. During that conversation, I advised him to get Bill acquainted with a local businesswoman, which he said he would – and didn’t do. I also advised him to get to know the Tea Party leaders: Angie Cox of Burleson, Toby Walker of Waco, and Nancy Coppock, leader of Bryan College Station Tea Party. He said they had, and that they were in good and on great terms, especially with the local one – meaning here in Brazos County.
I’d had lunch with Nancy Coppock the previous day and she said she had not been able to get the Flores Campaign to return her communications for even the time of day. Curious. Unless Flores moved quickly, I’m gonna have to lean towards those “great terms” not being hashed out in the 20 or so hours between my two discussions.
Now, Nancy Coppock has come out in support of Rob Curnock for the District 17 Congressional Seat.
No surprise for many reasons. For one thing, Nancy is a smart lady, and knows a conservative, constitutionally-oriented individual when she sees one. She also knows a RINO when she sees one. Since we have one of each in this runoff…the decision is easy.
It’s nice to see a Tea Party leader take a stand.
Let’s hope Toby Marie Walker of the Waco Tea Party sees beyond the star treatment she received at the hands of the established Republican Party in Washington, D.C. last year and comes out in support of the only friend the Tea Party has in this race – Rob Curnock. She’s not been friendly towards Curnock, and not supporting him will complete the schism in that organization.
I am confident that Angie Cox, Burleson Tea Party leader, will be in support of Rob, as well.
All three of these women are sharp cookies and are very savvy politically. They all know that supporting Bill Flores spells doom for the District.
It’s time to pick sides. And in this case, nothing could be easier. For the Tea Parties, Timothy Delasandro was the pure candidate. Chuck Wilson was the moderate with no direction and no constitutional backbone. Delasandro endorsed Curnock, who was the only other person to say that, “Yes”, the Constitution would solve our problems if politicians followed it.
Wilson said “No”, and endorsed Flores…who also said “No.”
The choice is perfectly clear, and Nancy Coppock has taken the lead and raised her hand, stepped in the ring, and said, “I’m With Rob!” No better warrior for the future of our country than this stalwart woman!
Unfortunately, Dave McIntyre doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude to do what’s right when he knows (and has intimated as much) that Flores is NOT right for Texas 17, but the Tea Party Leaders have never been known for their willingness to stand by while the NRCC, RNC, and GOP in general run roughshod over We The People.

Wow, it’s really kind of comical, to how one feel’s the need or desire to speak for myself or The Burleson Tea Party, without questioning such at all. The statement made in this article, “I am confident that Angie Cox, Burleson Tea Party leader, will be in support of Rob, as well.”, could not be furthest from the truth. Let me be as clear as I can. I, nor the Burleson Tea Party endorse or support any candidate/politician. We merely wish to provide information for our fellow American, so that they may make the most informed and confident decision, in their vote, come election day. Once again, that statement made by one on behalf of myself and The Burleson Tea Party is purely one’s own wishful thinking, to hopefully achieve one’s own personal agenda. No one speaks or governs The Burleson Tea Party, but itself, period. I take the statement made on be on behalf of myself and The Burleson Tea Party, offensive to the to the firm stance we have in reference to not endorsing/supporting any candidate/politician. I strongly suggest that anyone refrain from speaking on behalf of anyone or any group, especially without the substantiated facts to back such statements with anything but the truth!
Thanks, Angela, for speaking up. I really thought you would support Rob, and I certainly wasn’t speaking for you when I said as such.
So, though I was sure, I was wrong.
‘preciate you letting us know where you stand!
Cheers!

Keep on backing your tax cheat. If Curnock gets the nod, then Curnock gets a new two year term.
I’m not sure what that means, Alex. Curnock isn’t even in office yet, so he can’t get a new two year term, and I don’t back Flores, who as far as I can tell is the only person in this runoff who has settled a tax suit brought against him by a taxing authority, namely the
State of Louisiana.Keep on backing your tax cheat. If Curnock gets the nod, then Curnock gets a new two year term.
